6 months later

Hello! It's been a good 6 months since we've found our precious little dot. We've passed several milestones below to arrive at this final lap of the journey:

- The 8th week milestone (first heartbeat)
- The 12th week milestone (OSCAR test)
- The 20th week milestone (the FA and Doppler Scan)

My plan was to jot down details of all these milestones to share, but believe it or not, two weeks after I've started this blog, I forgot my login and password (-_-").

Yes, one of the perils of pregnancy is the Short Term Memory Syndrome. I shall try to recall the adventures of our journey so far, and jot them down in as much details as possible.

The little dot, who is now not so much of a dot anymore, has been lovingly named little baby David. We have now officially began our 7th month of the pregnancy, and we cannot be more grateful that this journey has been smooth so far.

The first three months was plagued by a terrible nausea. Of course, morning sickness is not really a morning sickness. You throw up whenever your body feels you should, and that's usually after every intake of food, snack, water etc. It's a sucky situation, but my take on this is, throw up whenever you feel like throwing up. Don't resist. Once you feel it coming, walk calmly to the toilet, bend over and let your guts do its thing. Fighting it will only land you up in a state of giddy headache and restlessness. Don't attempt to down sour preserved stuff - it'll only make you more bloated and nauseous.

Of course, the great thing about nausea (I know it's hard to think it's great) is that it reminds you that the tiny being inside you is doing just fine. The next thing you know, you're looking into the screen of your doctor's ultrasound machine at this tiny thing blinking away, a silly smile on your face.

That's when you know you've passed the second milestone: the first heartbeat. :)
